LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
Illustration series

This work is a series of illustrations showing the key scenes of the musical script Little Shop of Horrors in chronological order. The art style is deliberately chosen as an in-between of flat cartoon style and three-dimensional painting, keeping the scenes more dynamic and exaggerated than realistic. The story itself has this absurd expression that perfectly applies to theatre productions. Accordingly, the illustration's color is picked to closely represent the story's mood and transform that theatrical atmosphere into 2D visual art.

The story follows the main character, Seymour, who works at a flower shop. He acquired an unusual (man-eating) plant and named it Audrey II after his colleague and secret crush, Audrey. As the plant Audrey II grows larger with Seymour's blood, Seymour is surrounded by fame and, eventually, problems. The story gradually deteriorates into an unimaginable disaster.
